Jaded Issue #23
The Clothes You Wear Matter, Actually.
We can pretend clothes aren’t important. We can say things like, “It’s what’s on the inside that counts” and “Looks don’t define me.” Cute. Sweet. Love the sentiment.
But also: the way you dress is the energy you’re walking into the world with.
You can know who you are on the inside, but if your outside isn’t reflecting that?
There’s a disconnect. A leak in the vibe as I like to say.
Your energy is saying one thing. Your clothes are signaling something completely different.
And honestly: you deserve to match.
Clothes Are A Form of Self-Expression
Women are not static creatures. We don’t wake up the same every day.
Some days we’re soft and want to hide inside an oversized sweater like a cozy burrito. Other days we want to walk into a room and be like I am the greatest thing that has ever grazed this planet.
And your clothes help you do that.
What you put on your body is one of the fastest ways to:
- Shift your mood
- Shift your confidence
- Shift how you hold yourself
- Shift how people respond to you
If you want to feel sexy, wear something that makes you feel sexy.
Not for the male gaze. Not for attention. But because sometimes you want to look at your reflection and be like, damn.
If you want to feel grounded and calm, go loose. Go neutral. Go soft textures.
If you want to feel bold, wear color. If you want to feel confident, wear the thing that scared you before.
Yes, that thing. We all have an outfit we bought when we were feeling bold, and then got scared to actually wear it.
The top you always loved but said “I could never pull off.”
The dress that feels a little “too much.”
The pattern that feels like it’s speaking louder than you’re used to.
Put it on.
Your comfort zone will not make you hotter, more confident, or more self-expressed.
Clothing is literally one of the easiest ways to expand who you think you can be.

The Energy of Colors (In Real Life Terms)
Let’s talk color without getting mystical. Just vibes:
| Color | The Vibe | Translation |
| Black | Chic, strong, main character | “I know who I am. Approach calmly.” |
| White | Fresh, clean, uncluttered | “I am not accepting chaos today.” |
| Red | Bold, confident, magnetic | “Yes. I want to be seen.” |
| Pink | Soft, playful, charming | “I am allowing my feminine to exist unapologetically.” |
| Blue | Calm, level-headed | “We are keeping it peaceful, thank you.” |
| Green | Balanced, grounded | “I’m growing, and I like where I’m going.” |
| Brown / Earth tones | Warm, comforting | “I’m secure in myself.” |
| Yellow | Joy, presence | “You can’t kill my mood today.” |
You already know this.
You pick colors based on how you feel.
Or how you want to feel.
Which means you’re already dressing emotionally. Own that.
Patterns and Shapes Matter Too
This isn’t random:
- Flowy clothing: “I need ease. Don’t overstimulate me.”
- Structured clothing: “I’m in charge. And I mean it.”
- Body-hugging silhouettes: “I’m connected to myself and not hiding.”
- Oversized layers: “I’m recharging. Respect the buffer.”
Again: energy. Not woo-woo. Just truth.
Let Yourself Be Seen (If You Want To)
The clothes you wear don’t have to impress anyone. They don’t have to be trendy. They don’t have to be expensive. They just have to feel like you.
So if you’re feeling sexy, dress sexy. If you’re feeling confident, push the edge.
If you’re feeling quiet, soften it up. If you’re feeling bold, go louder.
Your clothes should be in conversation with your mood, not in conflict with it.
Dress for the Life You’re Actually Living
Not the one you’re waiting to start. Not the version of yourself you used to be. Not the version people expect you to be.
The one you are today.
Because when your clothes match your energy, you stop performing.
You just exist. You just show up. You just are.
And that is powerful in a very casual, effortless, “I didn’t even try that hard” kind of way.
Which, by the way, is the ultimate feminine flex.
